ANOTHER BIRTHDAY

  Well, another birthday and here you are,
Your ‘ol bod’s holding-up pretty well.
Born in 1930, .. that makes you how old?
Whoops!  I forgot, ... said I wouldn’t tell!
 
How many years?  That’s not what matters,
It’s how the years have treated you.
You say, “The YEARS have been fine, it the PEOPLE you mind?”
Well, that’s life, Brother!  What can you do?
 
We’ve assembled ourselves, here at your home,
Not for the usual ‘Birthday Spanks’!
I know my Brother, I speak for us all,
When I offer a great big “THANKS!”

THANKS especially from me and my wife!
When the chips were down, you removed the frown;
