ELECTRICAL CHANGE

There are two types of 'electricity',
One appeals more to me...
I found more fulfillment in life
From 'Direct Current', instead of 'A.C.'
 
'A.C.' as you know stands for Alternating Current,
The type used today in most homes...
To the reader now I'll simply explain
I express myself better in poems.
 
Now, back to this A.C. - D.C. talk...
These are 'symbols'..the past, and now.
D.C. was a reality...
Creating A.C. will take a 'vow'!
 
I've pondered the merit of changing
From D.C. over to the other..
But after so many years of the first..
The last might be a bother!
 
I don't mean that maliciously...
I just doubt that I could 'mesh'..
With that A.C. traveling back and forth..
It presents too much of a test!
 
D.C. served me well for years,
Although short circuiting, toward the end.
Needing repairs, then receiving them
Gave the time we needed to 'mend'.
 
Then D.C. was called 'out of service'..
To a resting place, well earned..
I find myself struggling with A.C.,
Realizing much remains to be learned.
 
A.C. seems to fluctuate so,
Undecided which way to go..
Rather than just to alternate
I wish 'id turn toward Joe!
 
My choice was direct, and to the point..
Unquestionably toward A.C.
But it just sits and fluctuates
And in the dark is where it leave me!
