HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BROTHER!

Happy Birthday Brother! 
I’ve said it so often before,
It’s something we take for granted..
Figuring there will always be more.
 
Well, time moves on, and so do we,
They say the only constant is change.
You make plans to do something...
Then your plans you must re-arrange,
 
Because things don’t go according to plan
We learn to ‘go with the flow’....
But this time Brother, I wonder if I can...
This time.....well, I just don’t know!
 
We’ve spent many happy days together,
Played cards to keep from being bored;
But now we’ll have to put the games on hold,
Because you’ve gone to be with our Lord.
 
It’s something you and I have talked about,
This business of ‘being ready’ to be with Him,
I feel confident that’s where you are now..
Of ALL the games,... that’s the BEST win.
 
To be with Jesus on your Birthday....
Could any of us here top this?
That’s why I say “Happy Birthday Brother!”
But meantime you’ll sure be missed!
 
We’ve gone camping, fishing and traveling,
Done so many things that brothers do,
Now, just like when I was little...
You’re probably thinking, “I’ll wait for you”!
 
You’ve always been there, I got used to that,
That’s been such a comfort, through all my life.
It’ll take some adjusting, but we’ll make do..
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY, from ME, and my wife.
