IF THERE REALLY IS A GOD!

In a discussion with a friend, he asked me, "Do you wonder sometimes, 'if there really IS a God?'

Sometimes problems weigh so much,
And so many things just seem to go wrong.
That’s when this thought keeps troubling me,
It’s a doubt, that goes on, and on.

I know creation is beyond my means,
I can’t create Oceans, Mountains, or sod;
This devilish thought going through my head
Is, “IF there really IS a god?”!

I recently saw a most beautiful sight,
A flock of Geese in formation, flying south.
And I read about a species of fish
That hatches it’s young right in its mouth!

Childbirth deserves some mention too,
From conception to the newborn tot!
I know it’s quite a miraculous feat.
I wonder “If there really IS a God?”

The great big tree was a tiny seed,
That big jumping thing was a pollywog.
I wonder some times with miracles like these,
Why do I wonder, “If there IS a God?”

The miracle of Life, the mystery of Death,
No mere man could originate them... odd,
Yes, odd that my tiny, limited brain
Could wonder, “If there really IS a God?”
