JUST TO KILL TIME

I'm not really sure what I want to write,
I thought while I had time to kill...
I'd write something profound, or great to read;
But what subject will 'fill the bill'?
 
At the moment, I'm not too philosophic,
So I'll probably not get involved.
I could complain of my tooth-ache,
Or the fact that I'm getting bald!
 
These are minor things, not worthy of mention,
So just erase them from your mind....
I'm simply writing...trying to 'fill the void',
Think I'll call this one "Just To Kill Time"!
 
Some people might cringe at that expression,
Saying I should use my time more wisely...
But I have a theory...recording moments like these;
Later on...makes THIS moment more lively!
 
I've heard people say when I've read my poems,
"That's nice, but it sure must take time"...
Well, we're each given these same moments to use,
And THIS is how I choose to use mine!
 
Possibly tomorrow, I'll hit a 'dry spell',
Unable to write a single rhyme...
It's during moments like that I'll spend my time wisely..    
I'll read this one, called "Just To Kill Time"!
