LATER

Never uh-huh...
Always "Later"...
That's the response
I'm used to hearing!
 
I ask.............
She says..........
It's not really too endearing!
 
The feeling comes...the feeling goes,
I guess it always will.
But the answer that I'm waiting for
Is not "Later......"
But "Yeah Babe!  I will!"
 
It may take place two or three times,
Then in 'games' I ask to 'date' her,
That's when I hear that familiar response...
"Not NOW,..........later, later!"
 
I'm not sure what the future holds,
But there's one thing I will VOW!
The WORD I really want to hear,
Is not "later Honey”,...It's NOW!
