LIFE'S OFFER
Life has so much to offer, It's confusing which
offer to take; There are good, bad and indifferent offers, Choose wisely
my friend, for your sake! Some are beautifully plain and simple,
And easy to identify; But those 'super-fantastic' appearing ones Very
often turn out a LIE! The Scriptures say to 'test the spirits'',
This is certainly good advice... But you must have the desire to test..
Or you'll end up being part of that lie! Sometimes the glitter and the
glamour Mask out the reality that's truly there. You see only what you
want to see; But that can end up in despair. In my haste to select
an offer, I wonder, did I choose wise? I had the greatest of hopes for
this one, But is it just one of those lies? Underneath it all I
don't think so, To call it a 'lie' would be wrong. Right now I feel like
it's not for me: I'll find out, I'm sure, before long. Because when
I care, I care deeply.. No doubt, I move in quite fast... Some day I'll
choose one who thinks like me; Then that choice will be my last!
The ideal 'offer' that I would choose Would have priorities similar to
these: Her first love would have to be Jesus, I'll settle for what's
left for me!
