NO PLACE FOR SIN

Why so many letters from Paul, in the Bible?
And who were they all written to?
Were they exclusively for those churches, ‘back then’,
Or to ‘Christians’, today like me and you?
 
“And they added to the churches DAILY”, it says,
Does that describe the church YOU attend?
Or does your group wish to remain, ‘as-is’?
Tell the truth, tell it like it is, my friend!
 
There was a T.V. show I used to enjoy,
But dear Mrs. Olsen would irritate me so!
She placed such a different set of values on life,
I used to think she ruined the show!
 
But there ARE people today, just like her,
Who live with such a closed mind.
They live in their own little ‘Utopia’ they’ve made;
Someone ‘perfect’ as them is hard to find!
 
Yes, she’s a God-fearing woman, who knows the way,
If you don’t believe me, just ask her if she sins!
“Certainly not!  I wouldn’t think of it”, she’ll say;
The only way she could improve would be twins!
 
Paul’s letters are strong, I will admit to that,
But his LOVE flows, just as strong!
I can’t remember when he last said,
“Let that sinner in OUR church, and I’m gone!”
 
You say, ‘that’s ridiculous!  He never said such a thing!’
Well, Praise the Lord! he didn’t, God Bless HIM!
But aren’t there those today, who in their own way say:
“Our church has nothing to do friend, with sin”?
 
The sad truth is, what they say is true...
There are too many churches like that today.
They go there for show, and to tell what they know,
Instead of as sinners, to repent and to pray!
 
We’re ALL sinners friend, and don’t you doubt that!
There are ‘lost’ sinners, and ‘saved’ sinners alike.
And if I choose to pray, by way of music today,
Should that bother you, should that cause you spite?
 
Instead I hope you would join me in prayer,
I’ll pray for you, and if you like, you pray for me.
With REAL LOVE in our hearts, one for another,
“SAVED” is how BOTH of us can be!
