NO POEM

Have you ever felt like NOT writing a poem?
Well, that’s how I feel, today.
There are times when the words come rolling out;
Then, there are days when you’ve nothing to say!
 
Today is one of those ‘Nothing’ days,
No thoughts in the back of my mind.
I guess I’ll just wait ‘till later on,
Then, maybe some rhyme I will find!
 
I could go on about my happiness,
I could also talk of my joy,
But when there’s ‘no poem’ in the back of my mind
I guess I’ll write a ‘No Poem”,...Oh Boy!
 
You think that this sounds silly?
That a ‘No Poem’ is not worth the time?
Well, you choose to believe what you want to;
And I’ll continue with my litle rhyme!
 
There are those who ‘twiddle’ their thumbs to pass time,
Now how much sillier than that, can one be?
Others chase golf balls all over the green,
Then boast they hit a ‘73’!..Bet me!
 
In fact, I guess what it boils down to,
Is, what’s silly to ME, makes YOU right at home.
Likewise probably, in YOUR opinion,
I’m foolish, for writing my ‘No Poem’!
