ONE DAY AT A TIME

We can measure time by a variety of ways,
Seconds, minutes and hours, well they’re fine;
But to measure our life, and to live it,
Well, I prefer it, One Day At A Time.
 
We can’t change yesterday, that’s a proven fact,
And tomorrow is too far away,
We need to consider the ‘here and now’,
And that’s what we call,.... ‘Today’.
 
What we do Today, may effect tomorrow,
Which will soon become, Yesterday.
Then, as we reflect back on the ‘old’ tomorrow,
We may remark, ‘that WAS a prety good day’!
 
But if it wasn’t, it’s gone forever,
And sometimes the price that we pay,
Catches up with us, not yesterday or tomorrow,
No! That must be paid for TODAY!
 
It seems to me, that we could all be
More aware of our actions, Today...
Then, looking back on Tomorrow when it’s gone,
“What a great day that was!” we could say!
 
So, living our lives, just One Day At A Time,
That’s about all anyone can do.
But it’s HOW we live it, One Day At A Time..
That can make it pleasant for ME and YOU!
