SPECIAL BIRTHDAY

 
Birthdays are something we can’t seem to avoid,
They roll around just about once a year.
There are certain birthdays we hold higher than others,
Like the first time we could legally drink beer!
 
There was that special one that made us a TEEN,
And of course the one that allowed us to VOTE.
Then the one that left childhood behind,
When all of a sudden, “I’m an adult”, we could gloat!
 
We can each recall ‘special’ birthdays we’ve had,
Some were fantastic, and some grew quite ‘hairy’;
But the MOST SPECIAL birthday we’re celebrating today
Belongs to our very special, (Pretty-Butt)......MARY!
