WHERE AM ?(1)

Have you ever awakened when
 
You're not actually asleep,
 
And asked yourself this question..
 
"Where am I, in this battle of defeat?”
 
 
The symptoms are a bit complex
 
To attempt writing them down
 
But nevertheless, they hang over you

                             Like a black and morbid gown.
 
 
Think of a vast open desert...
 
In its center imagine yourself..
 
A ghostly loneliness creeps over you,
 
As if with the devil himself you've dealt....
