WISH I WOULD’VE

“I wish I would’ve...I wish I could’ve”..
How many times have you heard it said?
I’ve noticed lately, more than ever before,
We hear it after someone is dead!
 
We wish wed’ve spent more time with them,
When they were alive, and we could’ve done so.
We wish wed’ve shown them more kindnesses;
We’d feel better about it NOW, we know!
 
Well, the choice is ours to do as we will,
Why wait ‘till we’ve seen their life end?
There’s no helping someone, when their life is done;
Why not do something TODAY, for a friend?
 
A simple phone call, a note in the mail,
A brief visit, let them know that you’re there!
We could help others live a happier life,
If we’d take time to acknowledge that we care.
 
Set your goal now, make it a point,
To do something nice, TODAY!
You’ll feel better knowing, you’ve made it worthwhile
For a friend....... BEFORE they pass away!
